Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect only what you give us through the forms on this site:

• Contact form: your name, email address and message, and optionally your phone number and the course you asked about.
• Newsletter signup: your email address.
• Interest list: your name, email address and the course you are interested in, and optionally your motorcycle.
• Class registration: your name, email address, phone number, motorcycle year, make and model, and your confirmations that you hold a motorcycle endorsement, have the required gear and meet the prerequisites.
• Payments: card details are entered on a page hosted by Stripe, our payment processor, and never reach our systems. We keep the amount paid, the date and Stripe's reference for the payment.
• Technical data: our hosting provider records the IP address, browser and pages requested for each visit, and we keep IP-based counters for up to two days to limit spam submissions.

How we use it

To run the classes you register for: rosters, class-day contact, and confirmation and change notices by email.

To reply to your messages, and to tell interest-list and newsletter members when class dates open and when there is news about ProRider Springfield.

To keep business, tax and safety records.

To prevent spam and abuse of the forms.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

A small number of service providers store or handle data on our behalf, each only to provide its service:

• Supabase (database hosting)
• Vercel (website hosting)
• Stripe (payments)
• Resend (email delivery)

How long we keep it

Registration and payment records are kept as long as business and tax rules require.

Interest-list and newsletter entries are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Contact messages are kept until your question is resolved, and then as part of our business records.

Your choices

When you join a list and leave the "email me" box ticked, we send you a welcome message and, after that, news about class dates. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and we stop sending them, straight away.

Unsubscribing does not stop the emails tied to a class you have registered for: your confirmation, your reminder, and any change or cancellation notice. Those are not marketing and you need them.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The cookies it does set are strictly necessary ones: a sign-in cookie for the site owner's administration area, which visitors never receive. We do measure which pages are read and how quickly they load, using a cookieless service that records the page address and no identifier for you. Pages that carry personal details in the address - your class history, your receipts, your certificate - are never reported to it at all.

When you pay for a class you are taken to Stripe's own checkout page to enter your card details. Stripe sets its own cookies there, on its own domain and under its own policy, to detect fraud. We never see your card details.

Children

Our classes are for licensed motorcycle riders. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
